You can't have a position where people are given tasers, handcuffs, batons, pepper spray, and guns, and think you won't attract sociopaths to that job. It's delusional to think it won't happen. What's worse, police unions protect the worst abusers, and have most DA's, judges, and politicians in their back pockets, making it nearly impossible to hold them accountable for any abuse.
