Did I not say that the universe is expanding? Enough with the metaphor and go to facts. The universe is expanding. Could there be a dimensional distortion that makes time go much faster toward the edge? Well the video explains about that. You say it is obvious from your example that it should be flatter as it gets bigger. But the universe isn't so simple as comparing it to a balloon. On top of that there could be a force creating distortion. Because we don't know what causes it we should discard it? In that case we should discard gravity because we dont know exactly what causes that force. The theory explains the pioneer effect. And Phil you failed to answer my question so I'll ask it again. Why do all the galaxies we see look the same in development? Shouldn't we see an evolution of galexies?

Lots of ifs and coulds in that post, but no actual evidence.

Dr. Humphreys hypothesis is exactly that.
A hypothesis, without a shred of physical evidence to support it.
In fact it doesn't even try to address anything in the physical universe, it's merely a very lame attempt to try to make reality fit to your bible.

So again I ask, Do you have any EVIDENCE that the universe is young?

I already explained that the theory explains the pioneer effect that scientists are having a hard time figuring out. It explains a few other phenomenon that are mysterious. It expands upon einstiens general theory of relativity. So, what can be said about theories of cosmology you claim? What evidence does it have?
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Wow, I understand now, praise the mu'fuckin' lord!

You are just writing total bollocks. Absolutely meaningless.

It invokes god as a causative agent and therefore fails.

10 pages ago I produced proof of the antiquity of the universe with a simple photo.

You in return have offered precisely nothing

I can only assume that you have no argument, and never did.

Thank you for playing,

The amoeba has been told TWICE that Humphreys idea is an hypothesis at best and that Humphreys himself calls it a thesis, he ignores it so I don't see why your continuing with this exercise in futility. Clapping with one hand is more productive than trying to educate this lunatic. I wonder, do you think his parents are brother and sister? That would explain lots about him.

And I have you an explanation. It's important to remember that that is a distance, not a time.
There is no proof for cosmology as scientists guess it happened.

RE: Christianity and the 10 Commandments
As if any moron had anything to say about cosmology. Ah, chippy, chippy, you needed at least 15 more years of school, college and hard work to have anything to say about cosmology, biology or any other scientific subject.
No rest for the wicked. Can you stand for fucking reason?

Typical arguement from an athiest. I just don't understand science. Well present evidence. What evidence is there for the big bang? I saw evidence for an old universe from one person but none for the big bang. To ahead and present your case if you're so sure.

Don't try changing the subject grasshopper.

I presented evidence for an old universe, now you in turn need to produce your evidence for a young universe.....
