Didn't say you wasn't, I was just re-iterating my point...

Sorry to be pedantic, but I think they are chapatis. Still pretty stunning though;so casual,so perfect.

Yeah, those are not pancakes. They seem to be just doughs made from atta (which is a type of flour than can be used to make chapati, roti, naan, and other Asian foods).

Quote:Atta is the flour used to make most South Asian flatbreads, such as chapati, roti, naan and puri. Most atta is milled from the semi-hard wheat varieties, also known as durum wheat, that comprise 90% of the Indian wheat crop, and is more precisely called durum atta.

Hard wheats have a high content of gluten (a protein composite that gives elasticity), so doughs made out of atta flour are strong and can be rolled out very thin.

I don't have an interpretation. Thank you for the complimentary Rabbi status though, I'm suitably flattered. I'll get back to you on your inability to use the internet later. Busy having a life here. I hope that you understand.

"Atta"? Never heard of it,although I've been making chapatis and naan [occasionally] for about 30 years. I just use a good baker's flour, which has a high gluten content.
