I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No teaching required.
At least, get your facts straight.
Coming to a position "by yourself" and having "no teaching required" are mutually exclusive events, they are not the same thing. A person can still come to a decision by themselves with teaching, or can come to a decision by themselves without teaching. By "no teaching", I'm referring to no forms of verbal or written communication, which I very much doubt is possible in the developed world in the 21st century. It's just not true I'm afraid.

You need to brush up on the meaning of "mutually exclusive events", but whatever...
Regardless of any teaching either way, atheists get there by themselves.... i.e. no indoctrination, as opposed to religions, where indoctrination rules.

Discussing = 1. exchange opinions about 2. debate / atheist forum's
Taught = 1. instruct 2. educate 3. train 4. impart knowledge of / evolution theory

Is Dawkins not your teacher/Grand Master/Pope of sorts, why have some attained levels on this Dawkins scale etc etc

Quote: everyone is born on a natural innate human disposition that is compatible with Islam.

Then xtianity DOES have a purpose. At least it deflects some people from the barbarism of the pedo-prophet and his scumbag of a god.

I've never met the man, I don't know who hands out titles like "grand master", pope is singular - and I'm unfamiliar with the dawkins scale (though apparently I've had another member charitably nominate me for some rating on it..lol)

You don't have to believe in evolution to be an atheist. Lot's of atheists who are also rationalists will give such an atheist grief if they don't accept evolution as the most likely explanation for speciation, but it doesn't make them not an atheist. Usually in 'atheist discussions' we're actually discussing something else: science, logic, aplogetics, and the like.

What makes someone an atheist is not believing in God. It's not that complicated. It's not a system of beliefs. It's one belief that atheists don't have.

The Dawkin's scale is a handy but pretty arbitrary scale lots of people have heard of. We're not paying homage to Dawkins by using it any more than one pays homage to Stanley Stevens whenever using a scale of measurement even though he defined all the major types of measurement.

I realized I was an atheist at least eight or nine years before that book Dawkins wrote that still has some of you guys spinning.

Also, see:

Thanks for that. The Piraha people seem to be people who do not believe in God nor any particular religion, but they do call upon spirits and they believe that these spirits gives them instructions. The act of invoking a spirit for help is a type of worship in its absolute sense in my humble opinion, it is not correct to say that they don't have religious-types beliefs, in fact they are probably atheists since they believe in a plethora of spirits that look after them in the jungles.

As for the link about Hinduism, I don't have the research skills to be able to dig deep on that front, but it is definitely something worthwhile exploring.

No- society, your parents amongst a host of other possible reasons could be the reason why you were never compatible, how the hell would you even know whether or not you were compatible as a 3 year old? You're talking out of your arse in a desperate attempt to sound clever. The only way I'd fuck you up is in the vag if you were a girl.

Sure, you came out of your mum's vag preaching Atheism.

Definition of indoctrination: 1. To instruct in a body of doctrine or principles. 2. To imbue with a partisan or ideological point of view.
