Police officers should be required to have a college degree

Somehow though, not a single state in the country requires police to have a four-year degree. While a few larger cities now require officers to have either two years of college or a mix of police and military experience, many police departments have set the bar so low that all you need to become an officer is a pretty clean criminal history, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to attend police academy for eight to 10 weeks. That's just not good enough. No other profession in America with has so much on the line, so much risk involved, requires so little of its workforce.

What is the story on this in Europe?

Police officers aren't required to have a degree here in the UK, however it is encouraged. What the degree is in is irrelevant. These days you've probably got an extremely small chance, if any, of being promoted to higher ranks (Inspector and such) without a degree.

He's just your average race-baiting asshole, an absolutely atrocious journalist as well -- I've been following his tweets and articles since the BLM movement began.

Many people doubt he is even black, including Jason Whitlock and a Black conservative group who offered him $25,000 to take a DNA test. But yet he apparently refused. Surprise, surprise..

From what I've seen, he just says that his girlfriend is black and he's hung around black people all his life, so that somehow automatically makes him black and he "feels" black.

Oh, and here's something else he lied about.

Let me be clear. I'm on your side. There are way too many incidents of cops hurting innocent people and way too little accountability when it happens. But just because I feel that way doesn't mean I'm the kind of person who says fuck the circumstances, cops are always the guilty ones in every single case. I honestly don't know if that's who you are, but it definitely isn't who am nor who I would ever want to be. Sorry. If you want to label me a cop lover because of that, well I guess whatever floats your boat. Shrug.

But what happens when you reach the point that you cannot trust anything they say?

I believe the vast majority of people in the world are fundamentally good. Police, are people. If I got to the point where I genuinely felt I absolutely could not believe a single word any police officers said, I would very likely also not be able to believe a single word any other person said. That's a pretty shitty existence to have to live in so I honestly hope I never end up there.

I disagree.  His series is getting to the heart of the matter.

Why, however, can only blacks be upset about people being shot down in the street for broken tail lights?  We love to say that "justice is blind."  It's horseshit of course but that doesn't stop us from saying it.
