Just finished listening to "Firepower," the first Judas Priest album since their "retirement" a couple years ago.

Guess retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be since they're touring again too. Big Grin

Looked into getting tix for the show, but holy fuck... $150.00 each for not great, just decent seats.

As I write this, Ravinia season is upon us (well, upon me, since I'm in the Chicagoland area and love music), I've been listening to a lot more classical music than usual (as I write this, of the eight albums in my library music queue, only one is "popular music") and this is the one I'm currently on:

On my Anglotopia column, I call it Elton's Law: “When a rock star announces he’s retiring, it will not stick. Unless the star in question announces he has a debilitating, incurable, terminal illness.” I named it after Elton John because he's announced his retirement (by my count, anyway) no less than NINE FUCKING TIMES (10 if you count the announcement at the Festival de Carcassone in 2014 and the Final Curtain Tour the next year as separate announcements).
