Why is eating meat a step backward but eating plants is not? Is God not manifest in all things, plants no less than animals?
Fruits are the fruit of a plant and that is the best of the best.
Grains, beans and seeds are also the fruit of plants and we could live 95% with that
and the fruits of plants don't really cause too much pain and suffering.
Plants give the fruits in order to have humans or animals to eat them and spread the seeds around.
Even by eating many seeds the plants seems to know that at the end some seeds will be kept in order to generate more plants
so once again not much damage is done to plants.
We also need some veggies and in this case we cause some pain and suffering but we have to remember that
old saying.......NO BRAIN NO PAIN.
We can not live without causing some pain to plants but as far as we keep the pain to a minimum we do our very best.
I grow some veggies in my garden and when i need some i always cut the outer leaves so the plant keep alive and the suffering is kept at a minimum.
Animals on the other hand have a developed consciousness and when killed the pain is million times more that the pain that a plant would suffer so we really
got to look at the damage in both quantity and as far consciousness is concern.

Science which in your case come down to physical science.
Do you think that physical science can produce any progress?

Sentient is what can help in your real progress whether is something material-physical or mental.

Ok Stim, let us do a deal.
I tell my spiritual teacher that from now on i am no more interested in intuitional science and instead i want to work on my psychic power
