I get that kind of garbage from my family all the time and never have enough balls to say anything about it. I agree with Tiberius though, it sounds like a blatant lie.

Yes binny... I just threw up and died a little on the inside at how ridiculous this letter was.

Frodo, after you finished reading, did you tear up a little and praise your sky daddy......

RE: I don't know how much more of this I can take
Normally when I get these prayer requests or other shit like this I just delete it before I read it. For some sick twisted reason I read this one, maybe because it was in big blue letters. I know the story has to be a bunch of shit. If true the rescuer was probably just agreeing with that woman that he 'found Christ' just to shut her up. It looked like it was forwarded several times before it got to me. I'm a glutton for punishment.
I'm going to keep quiet for now about my 'religious' views to these women. One of them is a hair dresser and I'm trading senior pictures of her son for a new do and color. Who knows what she'll do to my hair if she finds out I haven't 'found Christ'. I'll wait until after to say something, if I ever do. I'm kinda a weenie. I like a couple of these women, but some are just way to godly for me. One carries a bible with her. I keep my distance from that one.

binny, you might want to carry some garlic and a silver stake for the one carrying the Bible around with her. I can just imagine how hell bound everyone else, but her of course......Tongue

Your no weenie. It's like those sci-fi movies where you have to pretend you're one of the pod people in order to survive. I know of Atheists who will go to church and say they are born again in order to be accepted in the business community in order to make a living.

Think of yourself as part of an atheist migration. Thirty years ago in Los Angeles there wern't a whole lot of middle class Latinos. Now everyone from my dentist to my bank manager are Latino.

I imagine you will find what my churcgoing Atheist friends do-that many others don't really believe, they are pretending to be pod people too.

But it is typical of these jesus-freak shitheads.

Meanwhile, Snopes has checked it out

and the verdict is: BULLSHIT

(Big surprise).

Why not send the Snopes link back to the Church Ladies and ask them why they constantly fall for such idiocy?
