A North Miami Beach Police officer is behind bars after she allegedly kicked a woman who was eight months pregnant, causing the victim to be transported to the hospital for an emergency delivery.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Ambar Pacheco and charged her with one count of aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.

Florida cops beat up and arrest black man just for telling them to do their jobs: lawsuit

A Florida man is suing the Miami-Dade Police Department after its officers allegedly beat him up and arrested him for yelling “do your f*cking job.”

The Miami New-Times reported that Jose Farquaharson was standing on a street corner when a car sped past him.  Two police officers were standing across the road, and the angered 42-year-old yelled “do your f*cking job and stop the cars from speeding!”

You think their job is to stop speeders.  They think their job is to beat the shit out of you whenever they fucking feel like it.

Former Florida police officer admits to framing two black men amid false arrest scandal

Prosecutors said Ravelo, at the urging of his boss, arrested 35-year-old Clarens Desrouleaux in January 2013 for a pair of unsolved breakins. He wrongfully wrote in an arrest affidavit that Desrouleaux “had confessed to committing the burglary.”
A year later, he similarly framed 31-year-old Erasmus Banmah for five unsolved vehicle burglaries, despite knowing there was no evidence to support it. In filling out the required paperwork a few days later, Ravelo again “falsely claimed in an arrest affidavit that [Banmah] had taken him to the site of the respective burglary and confessed to the items that [he] had stolen,” according to court documents obtained by the Herald.
The charges against both men were eventually dropped.

I recall George Carlin joking one time that he was sure that half the people in prison were there for something they actually did.  I now wonder if the number is that high?

When it comes to the War on Drugs, police often act with impunity, while the burden of proof is firmly on those they harm. The examples of narcotics officers screwing up and raiding the wrong home are numerous, and journalist Abby Martin (formerly of RT America and now hosting “The Empire Files”) put it perfectly when she asserted that the War on Drugs operates in a “two-tiered justice system that shelters police from accountability time and again.”

Take, for example, the 2014 case in which a SWAT team in Habersham County, Georgia conducted a botched drug raid on the home of Alecia Phonesavanh and severely insured her toddler, Bounkham “Bou Bou” Phonesavanh, by setting off a flash-bang grenade. No drugs were found in the home, the person they were looking for wasn’t even living there, and the grenade blew a hole in the toddler’s face and chest. But despite all that, a grand jury decided not to charge any of the officers.

Parking officer calls one-legged black man the N-word as he tickets him for using a handicap space

The city of Brockton, New York is being sued after a parking control officer used the n-word while ticketing a black man with an amputated leg for parking in a space reserved for people with disabilities, the Enterprises reports.

I guess missing a leg is not enough of a "disability" for this pig?
