^The fact that I even have to "wonder" about sharing news that pretty much anywhere else would be cause for celebration, definitely tells me there is a correlation between atheism and being anti kids.
You will still be congratulated. It is what you want, so those of us who think badly of people for wanting children already think badly of you for it, if they are aware of your desire.
Now, if you wanted to adopt children, then I would think it a noble thing, to give a child in need a good home. There are children already in the world who could use a good home, and it would be a very nice thing to provide a home for one or more of them.
