# According to God,if he decides to select a person should enter priesthood he would give them '"the calling".
# Christians know they should practice priesthood if and only if they get "the calling".
# Some Christians, even after knowing this, practice priesthood because of other reasons.
Wouldn't it be fair to say that these Christians are dishonest Christians? Or is there a categorization of priests that did get "the calling" and those of them that didn't get "the calling"?
Wouldn't it be more fair to say that people can be mistaken in their belief that they have a vocation without realizing the ACTUAL reason(s) that may be motivating them to consider the priesthood?
I was a candidate at a Trappist monastery for five years. I was not sure that I had a vocation, but I was seriously interested in the monastic life. In the end, I gave it a try, discerned that I was not called to that life, and moved on.
Your post implies duplicity and dishonesty which I don't believe are present in most men who desire the priesthood.
