Many of us don't and that's why I was more or less callling the OP out on his line of thinking, which I, personally, don't support. It doesn't play any role in my life and I refuse to be associated with it. Even by proxy, as in calling it 7 steps to a godless life. I am godless, but I never looked at any blueprint to confirm that way of life.Abaris,
That was not my intention to make a list of steps. This is just a list of things that many atheist experience. 7 is just an arbitrary number that signifies what points I came up with in one sitting. Putting things in a list is just the way I chose to organize my thoughts. It's not an exhaustive list and certainly not an all inclusive lit of what every atheist experiences. You may notice I used the pronoun "I," leaving others to post what atheism means to them.
BTW, you called the op out on HER line of thinking. I've made no secret that I have 2 X chromosomes.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
