To be fair, I've cried during many of my own performances, whether I'm singing secular or sacred music, because the music just moves me so much. I've also cried running off stage (because my mic wasn't working and the audience was yelling at me- I thought they were booing me- I was only 17); during a funeral for a three-year-old I was asked to sing at; many juries (end-of-term performance exams); and just because I wasn't well-prepared. We divas are a sensitive bunch
