I don't think vanity is a bad thing. There's the argument that good looks don't last, but you can always look your best. I think it's plain good manners, really. We live in a physical world and we have visuals that we like and visuals that we don't like. Then we have theory of mind- "If I think *this* of that person, what do these people think of me? Better look my best." No problem with that.
There are people who don't put in an effort to look their best (Myself included. Presentable is good enough for me. I don't like to stand out.), and they will surprise you with how exceptional they can be, so you do have to watch how you let looks effect how you treat people. If you are a bit vane when it comes to your own looks, but treat everyone with the same degree of respect, I don't see a problem with it.
I'm very empathetic, which could also be a bad thing. It's hard to get ahead.
I'm not very punctual and have a hard time waking up.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
