A trick I learnt from my mom: line a Ziploc baggie with paper towels, enough to line the entire inside of the bag, and then insert your vegetables. Squeeze all the air out before sealing. The paper towels wick condensation away from the vegetable's surface, and that retards spoilage. Seems to help them last 40-50% longer.
