There's no evidence to suggest that texting is actually hampering vocabulary skills. I think that each generation will always find a problem with the one that comes after them. The generation before mine considers us lazy, and lacking in values. I like to remind them that they made black people sit on the back of the bus and drink out of different water fountains. I think each generation is progressing, not regressing.
