The reason people make the comparison is because Drich isn't all that polite to atheists and Min isn't all that polite to religious folk, though I would say that Min does not attack people who don't make absurd assertions, but I do often agree with him, so I might be biased. Holy fucking run-on sentence. What I'm saying is, I don't think people are saying they're alike. I think people are simply, and quite rightly, saying that if Drich were to go (which isn't even on the table, as far as I know) based on things he's said up until now, a lot of us, including Min (a forum favorite) would be on the chopping block based on the same criteria. Then again, she could have been saying they're one in the same. What do I know?

Your assessment is correct. I am not saying they are one in the same.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
