No, thank your husband for his service. I just put my four years in, just happened to be in during the first Gulf War but never was anywhere near the Middle East, was honorably discharged, and to this day I get a bit embarrassed when someone thanks me for my service. I enjoyed my 4 years in but realized military life just really wasn't for me and I didn't like any of the jobs they were offering me if I reenlisted, so I got out to see what I could do as a civilian. I served faithfully but don't care to make a fuss over it. Maybe it has to do with working in the intelligence field where everything had to be hush-hush and we officially didn't exist.
