One group of people sees muslims somewhere knock down a few lightposts, like that's uncommon -anywhere-, and decides they're somehow sub-american, and plasters his yard with white supremicist advertising material...they tried to fucking kill me and I managed not to vote for Trump. God only knows how I fought off the urge.
He spent years on a submarine that was older than he was. In Iraq, people were killed not far from him. If you want to belittle his service and patriotism, that's your business. It doesn't bother me, and I doubt it would bother him. When questioned about protestors in Iraq, his response was to shrug and say In a country of 30 million people, they're not all going to like you.
You have some really racist family and friends, and you project that onto everyone who disagrees with you. You need to get out more. There's nuance in the world.
