But that doesn't matter, what I said doesn't require first hand experience but only to see the world as it is. Also please don't twist my words. I never advocated murdering a child, abortion doesn't take place after someone is born. With today's technology many disabilities can be predicted quite early, and thus prevented before before the baby even forms.
While I disagree on GC's ideas about abortion, I stand with him saying that most people who deciding to abort a pregnancy because of disablitiy have no idea how disabled people live. What we are capable of, for goodness sake one of the most brilliant men in the world is a wheelchair user and has text to speech technology for everyday use. Those would be parents have never been to conferences at The Board or Developmental Disability, or gone to a Partners in Policy meeting. The fact that nobody tells these parents what the highest possible outcome for their future child could be, instead people have this weird eugenic idea of not messing up the gene pool or that all disabled people are helpless and suffering.
