The atheist AF members are correct that homosexual behaviors are common in nature. At the same time, I think they should be cautious not to anthropomorphize those behaviors. The lower species may not be motivated by sexual gratification to the extent that humans are. For example, presentation for mounting and mounting behaviors may have nothing to do with sex per se; but rather, reflect and/or preserve social hierarchies of dominance and submission in the pack.**

While the right and proper uses of our bodies ought to conform to Man’s nature as God intended, we must remember that we are part of a fallen creation. Our nature has been corrupted by sin. As such, people cannot reason to moral imperatives purely from observations about nature; but rather, knowledge of Christian doctrine comes by reasoning from holy scripture. For example, it seems pretty clear that homo sapiens is not strictly monogamous by nature; whereas, knowledge of God’s desire for traditional marriage comes to us through the special revelation of the Bible, despite the short-comings of some OT patriarch in that regard.
