Until you can prove otherwise that is what happens, can you show otherwise?
Thought not.
Not how it works. Beliefs don't need to be proven.
You claim that "Life is the functioning of a body, when the body stops functioning life ends." as if it's a fact, THAT statement needs proof.
Why don't beliefs need to be proven?
I need evidence for things I believe in why don't you?
I believe my wife loves me, we have been together for 27 years we still cuddle up on the sofa at night and she has borne me three children, this seems to be evidence that supports my belief.
In regard to humans, life stops when all body functions/processes cease.
That's what life is, a process, and it ends.
That's what all my experience has shown me. People live, people die.
Do you have an alternative hypothysis, if so I want to see the supporting science.
What does this life after death entail?
What material is the life stuff made from?
Where do they exist?
What do they look like?
In summary, our belief that there is an after life is probably wrong.
That will be my position until you can come up with counter evidence not arguments not words but actual proof.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
