RE: Trump: The FAKE NEWS media is the enemy of the American people!

Y'know, I'd take his complaints about 'fake news' more seriously if his chief of staff wasn't from one of the most widely discredited news sources in existence.
I kinda miss the past, when it comes to issues like this. Back in the 90's when news actually tried to just report the facts. Nowadays, everybody has their own little spin they have to put on things, in support of one specific agenda or one candidate or one political party. Being non-biased is a thing of the past. The end result is that everybody talks about the other side but never actually talks to people from the other side. I mean, you see it all over the internet; go to a Christian forum and it's filled with conservatives, talking bad about liberals and posting ridiculous articles about the most extreme, obnoxious liberal position. Go to a feminist site and you'll see social justice warriors doing the same for the opposite side: unrealistically extreme conservative positions presented as mainstream and actual conservatives aren't actually present.
And while I wish the media would do something about this, there's an even bigger problem: if someone DOES try to hold the media accountable, if we do try to present a media that's simply non-biased, both sides hate them for it. If a media source tries to be centrist, the right wing used to claim "liberal media bias" but now it's just "fake news" while the liberal sites find ways that they're all racist and misogynist and homophobic.
That's the media nowadays: pick a side or everyone will hate you.
