Personally, if I were in her position, I'd probably have attended also. Trump may be near the top of the most shittiest-person-alive stack, but he still is the president. From her perspective, I fail to see this as a political thing rather for her it seems like a chance to remember and honor her lost loved one and possibly find some support during her moment of grief.
