In the company of people I know, it's a sore subject. The only time politics comes up is when we are talking anime or a television show. I understand it, and I know the references, but for the most I'm done caring about the subject in general. But, you never answered my question though. If had a love for cake, would you bring up the subject up in a non bakery or restaurant setting, or to a random stranger?

Probably not.  But you didn't mention that you don't like to discuss politics with strangers.  You just said you don't want people to tell you about how much they like Trump or what great things he's doing.

The association was in the Trump talk, if your talking about Trump your generally talking about politics. So, I was under the assumption that we were all on the same page here. If it's Democrats, Republicans, or independents they all regurgitate the same shit. It's best to avoid the topic all together to avoid conflicting opinions. If your going to fight about something with others, it's best to make sure that you have a valid opinion prepared. If you don't your just talking out of your ass ; we all do it in some capacity, it takes a wise person to admit to they have little to no knowledge on a subject. I on the other hand do not wish to acquire any more knowledge on him or the whole toxic climate in which we govern the country. As I said before all that matters to me is a stable relationship with Japan, and a free and open source internet. It leaves me in my own little bubble in which I'm more joyful to live in, having to absorb others toxic is something I should not have to deal with it.

The internet is a place to where I can apply my own filters and only focus on subjects relevant to my own path. You don't see me getting personal with a subject too often. When I do, you see like this and when I'm annoyed by something others have forced upon on me. I take very personal and do everything I can run from the issue.
