I do not deny happiness, but it is a state of the dualistic mind, and a short lived emotion.
I suppose that could be interpreted to be loosely in line with Buddhist teaching, since the Buddha acknowledged the happiness that comes from life, friendship, family and good health and that the loss of them causes suffering. Yet your tone throughout has been one of "We're all just shit on a shoe and we're all gonna die, so what's the point of anything?" (not a direct quote, of course). Whereas the Buddha's message is predominantly one of hope, of overcoming suffering through a change in one's perception of and attitude to existence, finally to leave the Wheel and acheive Nirvana. Granted, I'm no philosopher - but I can read.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
