Stat: You have really missed the point. Arguing against something that clearly exists by being obdurate makes you look a cock. Asking for evidence of something is not unreasonable, as long as you don't stick your fingers in your ears and shout "I can't hear you! You're wrong! Show me the evidence!" when someone comes back with... evidence.
However, if you want to argue for evidence of God, you can't. Until God shows himself in the physical world, there isn't any physical evidence. If he was heard in a burning bush again, yes there could be evidence, witness testimonies, video, photographs etc. You and I have two sources: 1 The Bible and 2 How we feel. As evidence, the Bible is poor. It is a collection of historically inaccurate, contradictory, hearsay annecdotes that have a great overall message but if examined dispassionately, would be laughed out of a courtroom. This leaves how you feel. You believing there is a God is just as valid as someone believing there isn't a God. You may have problems though in defending what you ascribe to his direct influence. E.g. I believe God created the universe with the big bang. That cannot be argued against by science because it fits everything observable and measurable. If you say God formed each star and planet one by one with his bare hands then you are certainly going to be at odds with just about everything observable and measurable.
At some stage, you may have to accept that people in Sunday School tell lies.
