Well spotted.
Wearing a yellow star is staggeringly ignorant. Do they not teach about the Holocaust in schools?
On second thought, I'm a baby boomer so grew up in the 1950's and 60's. The Holocaust was never mentioned. I found out about it by seeing a clip about the Liberation of some of the camps on TV when I was 16. I vomited.
So I guess to be fair, I need to realise a lot of younger and middle aged people know nothing about the Holocaust. Should it be taught to age appropriate children? (say 14 and above) If not why not and if so, why?
I have a red T shirt with a yellow star my sis bought for me in Vietnam a couple of years ago. Also have green Chairman Mao hat I bought in China. When I got home I chickened out and cut off the red star. These days the only hat I wear is my black Akubra.
