So, of course, it's the same 20 GOTO 10 of "Everyone's going to get COVID anyway" and "the vaccines are useless in creating herd immunity" and "Omicron is so much less bad that the narrative is crumbling." that he's been banging on for the past couple pages of this thread, just with more of an emphasis on libertarian ideals of personal liberty getting pushed long past the point where it's actually workable, a side order of quote mining Dr. Fauci, and a newfound obsession with Prohibition.
Even though banning something that A) a lot of people want, and B) is potentially extremely lucrative is practically begging for organised crime to step into the fray, something I legitimately cannot see happening with vaccine mandates.
Even though Dr. Fauci's point about how everyone's going to get COVID doesn't mean you should dismiss the vaccine like he has (and, indeed, he himself pointed out that the vaccinated still fare better than the unvaccinated.)
Even though many places (including the state I live in) actually do mandate some vaccines, even up to the point of requiring children to get vaccinated against diseases that aren't likely to kill them until they're adults (e.g. measles) before they can even enter kindergarten, and hardly anyone considers such vaccine mandates to be tyranny.
Even though there's zero comparison between the sort of effort required to get in shape and be less susceptible to heart disease or cancer and the sort of effort required to just get the damn vaccines so your apparently inevitable case of COVID is less likely to kill you (seriously, the hardest part of getting the booster for me was actually finding a place that would do a walk-in vaccination.)
Even though heart disease (the usual #1 cause of death in the US) killed roughly 1,904 people per day in America last year, and COVID has killed 3,622 Americans yesterday alone.
But, whatever,
10 PRINT Everybody's going to get COVID anyway, omicron means it's better to get it than to get the vaccine, the narrative is crumbling, and the fact that deaths from COVID are skyrocketing can only be a good thing, 20 GOTO 10
