Ernest James Pace (1879-1946) was a reverend, artist, missionary, and teacher. He earned his doctorate from Princeton Seminary, so he is a doctor (of theology). He made lots of Christian cartoons to bring closer and encourage Christian theology and life to laypeople. They are still spread around even today on Christian websites, like the website for Biola University. And, according to Biola University, "blessings of these cartoons are incalculable"
So let's see what a blessing they are.
This one clearly shows his stance on evolution - it is a lie that, along with education, leads Christians away from Christianity and into darkness.
This one is kind of interesting because it shows a rift between so-called old theology that takes the book of Genesis literally vs the new one that tries to tolerate modern science, as well as some other stuff. And it is visible that he is on the side of the old one.
This one teaches people that free will is bad, as it will get you on the wrong path, and that you need to be obedient to what religious leaders order you to do.
Apparently, Central & South America along with Africa and Asia are in darkness because they are not Christians. Interestingly, USSR is not in darkness.
He doubles downs on this one when he calls non-Christian Africans "Inhuman Savages". Not to mention other degenetacity that comes when going to non-christian countries like death, darkness, and constant diseases; Loneliness as those uncivilized non-Christians with their undeveloped brains can not offer any companionship - wonder how Pace himself survived all this when he was a missionary? Maybe it wasn't as bad as he claims.
And this one depicts how not believing in nonsense (miracles, claims in the Bible, atonement, etc.) will lead you into atheism - which is actually correct, but atheism here is again portrayed as darkness, and its leader looks perhaps like Sigmund Freud?
I guess I'll leave the photos in my reply.
It's cool seeing how older generations think and their artwork and their fears about hell.
He was a 19th to 20th century men, a time that christianity ruled in the western world.
I think such people don't have an education and are jealous when someone else improves himself.
It is just general human behavior to get jealous.
Also, in christian circles, they discourage each other from learning about science.
So, they just drag each other down.
PURE SELFISHNESS
It is entirely about the self. It is about saving yourself, saving your soul, being jealous, dragging down others to your own uneducated level.
They want to be made in god’s image. The 3 rd step.
They want a perfect and a perfect Bible. 1 st step.
A wise man once said, I prefer to have questions with no answers rather than answers that can’t be questioned.
It is also interesting that after agnosticism, you have atheism.
The reality is that since the 1970s, christianity is slowly losing its grip. Today’s generation is letting go at a much larger rate.
