I don’t think anyone is burning “a book” to prevent other people from reading it.
We entered the mass production age sometime in the 18xx and we entered the electronic information age around 1955 (I think this is when at Bell labs, the first silicon based transistor was made).
Along with many other events around these time periods, we ended up with high speed printing machines.
You can find newspaper all over the streets.
Thanks to the information age, you can find CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes all over the streets.
People throw away working computers with multi gigabyte hard drives.
Your Koran is all over the place. You can easily find it on the web.
Some isamic organization can pay and have the Koran printed and they could leave it at bus stops or at motels or fly a plane over the city and throw millions of copies.
There used to be some organization that left Bibles at motels. They called it gideon’s Bible or something.
I’m sure that you can find some mormon young guys and asked them for a copy of the Book of Mormon. I’m sure they give it for free.
