What starts out as a primal scream gets sanitized and turned into a prophecy that succeeds...when it happens.....which, as Bucky so thoroughly explained, is exactly the opposite thing. Contemporary religionists have created a grotesque mockery of the things they profess to hold sacred, and, in the process, robbed themselves of the very thing that gives these stories their longevity and whatever meaning or profundity they hold.
