Yet you accept the Gog/Magog prophesy from the same sketchy sources.

I only use prophecies mentioned in the Quran.
If the prophecy from any other source, I denounce it as not "to be trusted".

The Quran mentions 2 main prophecies:

1-the rise of the kingdom of Israel in the end times (happened; we live in the period now):

(4) And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant.

(6) Then ˹after your repentance˺ We would give you the upper hand over them and aid you with wealth and offspring, causing you to outnumber them.

(7) If you act rightly, it is for your own good, but if you do wrong, it is to your own loss. “And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would ˹be left to˺ totally disgrace you and enter the Temple ˹of Jerusalem˺ as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands.

(8) Perhaps your Lord will have mercy on you ˹if you repent˺, but if you return ˹to sin˺, We will return ˹to punishment˺. And We have made Hell a ˹permanent˺ confinement for the disbelievers.”

2-the advent of Gog Magog:

Sura 21, The Quran:

(96) until ˹after˺ Gog and Magog have broken loose ˹from the barrier˺,1 swarming down from every hill,

(97) ushering in the True Promise.1 Then—behold!—the disbelievers will stare ˹in horror, crying,˺ “Oh, woe to us! We have truly been heedless of this. In fact, we have been wrongdoers.”

These are the prophecies in the Quran about the end times' events.
Israel did become a great nation again.
The remaining sign is Gog Magog breaking loose from their barrier.

I suspect Russia & China are Gog/Magog, they will unite again when the barrier -Great Wall of China- is demolished. This my speculation.

Your concept in the Quran concerning the nature of "prophesy" contains the very same error (that it was somehow "prediction", ... .... which in fact it did become around the turn of the millennium, or just before, as the Essenes and Jewish Apocalypticism came into favor, (a very LATE understanding of "prophesy" which included the NT writers who used the same flawed notion of prophesy. The leader of the Essenes, ("the Son of Righteousness") was understood as the one who could fully detect the "secret meanings". You lack even the MOST basic historical facts about all religions.

No one really got all this until the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. 

So no Winterhold. The Quran makes the very same error that Christianity did regarding prediction and omen reading ... which IS EXACTLY what you're doing. 
You're in no way an exception to this and you're doing exactly what was forbidden.

ETA, I have recently become aware (which is inexcusable, except as Ehrman says when asked about when he was going to expose Islam for the fraud it is, "well when I stop valuing my life")
there is a whole lot of historical questioning of the origins of the Quran. There are elements of it that are known to be taken from many cultural sources, which has been proven beyond a doubt, but it also seems there are a lot of historians who think the Quran was at least in part, extant before Muhammad was even born.
