Well, I wouldn't blame this on secularism, since secularism does not promote the destruction of traditional values and things that are assorted with commercial profit, and a moral-less society.
In my country, secularism has laid the basis for a more morally pure society, as it allowed religion to stay at the level of the individual and lawmaking to independent lawmakers and etc.
However, I could say that most trans-national corporations cannot afford to be bound by religious nor any other secular values at all!
The cycle of consumerism defies all sorts of morals, religious or otherwise.
These contribute to downfall of civilisations and societies, by showering them with "entertainment", "drugs" and various popular items and the culture that is associated with it.
