I have a guess, which may be bullshit. From what I understand Africans still associate homosexuality with Aids. From what I understand Aids is stigmatized in Africa because of it's association with homosexuality. I would not be surprised if somehow in their minds they think they might alleviate their aids problem by preventing homosexual sex. This is just a guess here. If it is true why can't they ban the Catholics who want to ban condoms? Wouldn't that be more productive in slowing down the spread of aids.
I'm not sure, but they need to do a hella lot more homework if they think that is the reason for the spreading of HIV when their people are having sex like rabbits without protection both straight and gays. Maybe they should pass law to improve their education and living condition, not putting more people to death as if AIDS and starvation don't already do that.
