I agree , getting in trouble witht the law for something that is essentially just words dosn't quite sit right with me (and could set a dangerous precedent , however well meaning) . But you do have to draw a line with freedom of speech somewhere ? and i guess actually insulting someone to their face based on thier race/colour is where they draw it.
This reminds me of that case in Russia recently , of that all -girl punk band jailed for “the insult and humiliation of the Christian faith and inciting religious hatred.” This was an outrage and very worrying.
