Yep, just like my boss think's I am supposed to be impressed that he owns two houses and an Audi.

Forgetting that the "right people" have nothing to do with looks, but how they treat you, and how they are there for you, and how they try to keep you out of trouble. He assumes that "things" and "titles" and "looks" do that.
That is exactly what allows criminals to hurt people. Burnie Maddof used his looks and position to rip investors off to the tune of 50 billion dollars.
And the "good looks" are exactly how serial killer Ted Bundy got some of his victims.
But according to him he "knows" who the right people are. I hope he never gets hurt financially or physically with that flawed logic.
