My ethics, if they can be called that, are based primarily on empathy with other beings. Whether this is universal, common, or relatively unique I have no idea. I only know that I am 'cursed' with seeing and feeling things from someone else's perspective. Combine that with a genuine desire not to cause deliberate harm and the result is the artist formerly - and currently - known as Stimbo. Clearly I'm going to regard it as the better choice, since it works for me as much as it does everyone with whom I interact.
Note that I used the word 'beings' and not 'people'; that was a deliberate choice, since my empathy tends to extend to non-human animals as well. Though if you're a spider, you'd be far better off nowhere near me.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
