Good on ya, man, but you'll find your beliefs being completely rearranged within the next few months. Something you'll come to realize is that atheism isn't a belief at all, but rather it is a named lack of belief. Often when pointing this out to certain religious idiots [see: all of them] you'll get some bullshit like "You don't get called an a-stamp-collector for not collecting stamps! It IS a belief!" First of all, point out that there ARE states of mind involving the mindset of "none/off" in regards to something. Beliefs especially. Point out that the reason you self-identify as an atheist has nothing to do with actively believing or disbelieving in a god; but rather as a term to set you apart from the majority who ARE believers. It is little more than that. It is describing a state of mind in which there is no "yes" or "no" but rather simply "none."
