I do not believe in religion but i believe in God.
The other day i met an atheist and i had a discussion about the existence or not of God.
I asked him........how did you work it out that God does not exist?
He said ............i do not see him...i do not perceive.. the science can not prove his existence...and i can live without God so why should i care about it?
I said to him.....ok i can understand that someone does not care or is not interested but i can not understand someone that dismiss his existence relaying only on Physical science.
He said.......why not?
I said to him ......physical science is called PHYSICAL just because is confined to the physical arena or physical universe and therefore is unable to go beyond.
If you want to go beyond you need to use a different type of science and in order to do this you must have the desire to do so but as far as you put limitation to your desire there is no way you can discover anything at this stage in time.
Ok guys i hope to develop this topic with anyone who is interested and sorry for my poor english. Ciao
The only place cognition exists is in biological evolution. There is no such thing as a non material magical super brain with magical super powers. Thor does not make lightening. The sun is not a god. Muslims wont get 72 virgins in a fictional after life. And there is no such thing as magic babies being born without two sets of DNA. And human flesh does not survive rigor mortis.
It never occurs to believers that "all this" is a result of a "what" not a magical "who". Just like there is no magical season god causing winter to change into spring.
If you can accept that a hurricane does not need the ocean god Posiden to cause it, then you should be able to understand why I reject your pet god claim as well.
Humans like the idea of a super hero, and we know humans are capable of making up and believing in absurd claims.
