That's right, children! You must believe he exists! And his existence- which I remind you is apparently the source from which all hope and justice flows- is...? Ooh, you're sharp today! The reason for your hope, that's right!
It's getting real late and I'm not really in the mood to deal with willfully nitpicky nothings tonight, but I'd submit to you, GC, that demonstrating the truth of any one of the premises about god that give you hope would necessarily require that you demonstrate his existence. Now, you might still fail at it, in fact I'm almost certain that you would, but you'd at least be implicitly showing proof for the existence of the thing you're hanging your hopes on.
Unless you're actually telling me that you'd be willing to detail the reasons for your hope in a being you regard as fictional?
