What do you do that requires your hair to be shampood every day? Nothing. By the way, I realise shampoo doesn't just make your hair fall out over night. I never claimed it did. It's a long process. The purpose of using shampoo is to clean my hair and scalp when it gets all dirty and greasy and rat's-taily. Ick. I don't need to wash my hair daily, every 2 to 3 days is enough for me. What do I do that makes my hair need a wash? I go to work, that leaves me with black dirt just about everywhere, including my hair. I can't see the black dirt as such, but as soon as I wash my skin or hair after work I can see all that black dirt in the water. Railways are dirty things. Not only that. I sweat. Sweating often makes my hair extra greasy and disgusting. Eww.
Nobody has ever lost thair hair "over time" by using shampoo, unless they had a rare condition or allergy that caused such a reaction to shampoo. Do you think old people all wear wigs or something? Lol

Fungus, sure, but how rare is that?1. Dirt and bacteria are unhygienic and can lead to nasty infections, they don't just put you at risk, but people you come into contact with could catch something.
2. As long as you are living, your body will never stop producing those natural oils. Washing them away won't do a damn thing because they'll be replenished soon enough.
3. Fungus isn't at all rare. We all have it on our skin basically all the time. There are microscopic spores all around us and they land on our skin. If you ever get a yeast infection (which is what happens when the fungus in a nice warm, damp, dark bodypart manages to breed like crazy and cause discomfort and general ickiness) and you take oral medication for it, you might find yourself itching all over as all the fungus on your body reacts to the medicine.
