Ah, sorry: it's actually the second one down from him on that page. When asked how he knows what god looks like, and whether he's seen him or not, GC answers:

Yes, I see Him all the time.

Yes, I know there's some basis. That's why I call it a straw man. A straw man isn't an invention from thin air - it's a distortion of an actual position. If someone says they get general guidance or direction from god, it's a straw man to say that the person should be able to give addresses of missing children.

Except that the question isn't stating that as a thing those people can do, it's a request for a reason why their god doesn't see fit to do so, along with that general guidance. It's pretty well understood that their position doesn't include information like that, but asking why that's so isn't a strawman, it's a genuine request for additional information.
