Hey, you're the one who made the claim. I responded. That's on you.
Quote:If someone wants to spend their life doing something they enjoy, why shouldn't they? I bet you wouldn't see someone who spent their life mastering a musical instrument or playing a sport as wasting their life.
I totally would think they were wasting their life if they did nothing with it.
So what's the difference between looking back and knowing you beat all those games, or knowing you played at all those concerts?
The answer is nothing. No difference. Accomplishment is accomplishment. You did it, that happened. The ripple effect doesn't matter in a "did it or didn't do it" scenario.
Now if you got to the end of your life and had made goals that you avoided fulfilling by playing video games that would be different. Or if you had video game goals that you
didn't fulfill because you were too busy with your band that would be different. It's all subjective, really.
As for the OP, I can't, not once, at all, Ever see a scenario where I'd get upset the BF was playing games. Unless I was horny, hit on him, and he told me to get out of the way
....don't, don't do that.
Otherwise, I'd enjoy watching/commentating, or doing my girl things while watching and commentating.. Or talking shit to the opponents on the headset sounding like a 12yr old girl while the BF kills em dead then teabags their corpses. Or 'dusting' the tv in heels and a garder belt and seeing how long he could go. Or lastly I'd enjoy playing (although I can only do that so long before I laugh too hard because I blew myself up again).
Some of my favorite moments with guys I love, are while playing video games. It's just a good way to spend time together..
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
