When black construction workers were being discriminated against, they attacked their discriminators by forming their own construction gangs and under bidded the discriminatory ones.
The discriminatory gangs called for a minimum wage because black labor was "diluting their ability to command a living wage". A minimum wage was imposed and which allowed discrimination to go un-punished(if you have to pay 10.10 an hour...might as well hire your white friends kid instead of the black kid that would have worked for 8.00 an hour). It cut the legs off the economic ladder so blacks could not climb out of poverty after slavery was abolished.
Let the free market work and the bigots will be punished. Trying to limit people freedom to choose causes bigger problems.
