Your zealous nature exacerbates your self-importance. It is anything but "put aside", and it is not "for the good of all" (which is actually a phrase that proves you have a serious air of self-importance).
Wrong, we are changed for God's work not our's and what kind of person does it take to tell someone else what they think and are, only one who believes thy are self important.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
