The Bible mentions that the constitution of the human being consist of body, soul and spirit. There's absolutely no supportable evidence for that biblical view. Instead, if we pay attention to the neurologists, the experts in brain function, we find that all the functions you attribute to 'soul' and 'spirit' are in fact produced by the brain. Here's a simple yet useful map.
The soul is where the feelings, emotions, will, memory, reason and desires reside, while the spirit is where the conscience and intuition reside and lets you judge good from bad.
Let me be clear, irrespective of the mechanism, I'm glad you're attempting to manage your attraction to children because it shows conscience and empathy: you're clearly not a socio/psychopath. However I don't think you've effectively dealt with it, rather you've handed responsibility over to a 3rd party who, in all probability, doesn't even exist. Now if that turns out to be enough, great but I'd suggest that religious methodology would have a lower overall success rate than therapy.
