Moon Landing: Fake or Real?

If all the records and all the tooling of Saturn 5, Apollo and LEM were still existent and accessible, and a serious proposal were put forward by people more concerned with results than with publicity to build new saturn 5s, Apollos and LEM to beat the chinese back to the moon on a budget, I have no doubt it would immediately be found, somehow, that critical tooling is no longer serviceable, or important record were no longer readable, just so that some major aerospace firm can get more government funding updating and reinventing the wheel, with the connivance of NASA, who could not possibly miss the opportunity to argue for more R&D budget to build many nice to have features into their new toy, partly to make the toys more potentially useful for other future missions, partly to show NASA is keeping up to date and remain state of the art, by simply ignoring the original intention of the mandate to reuse what is available to get back to the moon the quickest.
