I believe a better way to phrase it would be: Atheists and/or secular humanists don't believe that a moral code comes in tablet form from on high, and believe that the best way to form a moral code and society is through discussion, reason, refinement, and evidence, not based on the word and whim of someone that has never even been proved possibly existent.
