Really, you are going to lie to me by saying you thought I didn't know what the word "mute" means?? Do you think I put my phone or computer on "moot"? Mute is a common word, anyone with even close to a full working vocabulary of English would know it. Moot is a bit more rare, but when read in context, the line certainly only called for the word "moot" and only one who "UNDERSTOOD" it's meaning would have constructed the sentence thusly.
Of course it is my fault to take offense, not yours for making the snide comment. I apologize for my typo that you couldn't resist denigrating me for.
